iMerit, a Palo Alto based social enterprise firm rooted in providing digital skills to women in Metiabruz, India, announced on recently that it had raised $3.5 million with the help of three billionaires, Michael Dell, Pierre Omidyar, and Vinod Khosla. The large investment will be used to expand iMerit from 6 to 15 training centers over the next five years as well as support the hiring of 6,000 disadvantaged youths in India, the U.S., and other countries.
