A big moment for impact

In this Private Equity International article, author Louise Fordham discusses what the Global Impact Investing Network’s (GIIN) new report, GIINsight: Sizing the Impact Investing Market 2022, which estimates the worldwide impact investing market to be USD 1.164 trillion dollars, means for impact funds and investors. Fordham writes, “It is worth noting that the network’s previous estimate sized the impact investing market at $715 billion in 2020 – that is considerable growth in a short period, particularly given that the markets have grappled with a global pandemic in between. Despite covid – or perhaps in part because covid highlighted the need for investment to address the many challenges facing communities and the planet – new players have continued to enter the impact arena.”
