Sajida Foundation is a value-driven non-profit which embodies the principle of corporate philanthropy. The organization founded in 1993 aims to empower communities, catalyze entrepreneurship, build equity and establish enterprises for good with an overarching vision of ensuring health, happiness, and dignity for all. SAJIDA�s operation serves 6 million individuals annually through focused development programs, financial services and specialized healthcare enterprises. It currently operates in Bangladesh, Uganda and USA, with 400 unit offices and a dedicated team of over 5,600 employees.
SAJIDA brings deep financial capacity and nationwide reach, managing one of Bangladesh�s largest licensed microfinance programmes with a portfolio exceeding EUR 350 million and serving more than 790,000 entrepreneurs, over 93 percent of whom are women. The programme has maintained a recovery rate above 98 percent over nearly three decades of operation. SAJIDA is also a pioneer in Bangladesh�s capital markets and healthcare sector through its 51 percent shareholding in Renata Ltd, one of the country�s top four pharmaceutical and animal health product companies. As the Fund Manager of the Orange Corners Incubation and Acceleration Component (OCIAC), SAJIDA has further expanded its role in ecosystem building. Its Impact Partners wing has also launched a GBP 1 million Climate Innovation Fund in partnership with the British Asian Trust to support enterprises and non-profits in developing, testing, and piloting climate mitigation and adaptation solutions. SAJIDA operates six wholly owned social enterprises, including mental health clinics, a home care enterprise, a specialised learning hub for children with learning disabilities, a hospital, and a technology company focused on healthtech and project management solutions. These enterprises have successfully developed services, achieved cash flow positive operations, and some are already scaling beyond Dhaka.
