M&G is a large investment manager with £350 billion assets under management, (as of July 2022) including £180 billion in fixed income. (as at 30 July 2017) M&G is a significant investor in impact assets, and working with an external advisor, we have identified approximately £20 billion of our fixed income holdings as impact assets across a range of impact themes including social housing, education, healthcare, renewable energy, energy efficiency and green buildings. Such assets have historically been held in our standard fixed income portfolios (i.e. not in impact funds), however, we have recently launched our first fixed income impact fund to allow our clients access to the diverse range of impact assets that we source through a dedicated impact strategy.
