On February 14, 2019, the GIIN and Criterion Institute hosted a live demo of the Navigating Impact Project Gender Lens Theme. The Gender Lens theme, led by the Criterion Institute, draws on the knowledge and experience of +50 investors and experts, and aims to help investors incorporating a gender lens connect their impact goals with core sets of metrics, evidence, and resources to put them into action. The demo included a walk-through of the resource, the strategies for both gender goals internal to an investee business (gender equitable pay, gender-diverse governance and leadership, etc.) and broader gender impacts external to investee businesses (access to housing for women and LGBTQ individuals, women’s empowerment through clean cookstoves, etc.), as well as remarks from GIIN Member, Swedfund International, on their experience using the resource to develop their impact framework.
