Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) March 2, 2017 Toby Rittner, Mark Barbash, and Katie Kramer

Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) releases Urban Revitalization & Impact Investing: Unlocking the Potential for an Impact Investing & Development Finance Agency Urban Revitalization Collaboration. This is the first of four CDFA Impact Investing White Papers, which overall, will explore ways in which the impact investing community can collaborate with development finance agencies (DFAs) to address mission, environment, economic and financing challenges in a community.

The purpose of this paper in particular, is to document the potential of a collaboration between impact investors and high performing Development Finance Agencies (DFAs) to fill the capital gaps facing cities and neighborhoods working to support urban revitalization, and to accelerate DFAs as a major source of capital to grow, create jobs, and spur economic and community development.

This White Paper is supported by a grant from The Kresge Foundation to CDFA in collaboration with the Institute for Responsible Investment at Harvard University.
